Beirut - Arab Today
Egypt's Al Ahram daily newspaper will be available in Lebanon as of December 1.
The paper will be re-printed and distributed in the Lebanon on a daily basis, except on official holidays, after a several years' hiatus.
The move aims at bringing the Egyptian newspaper back to the Lebanese arena in order to cope with accelerating incidents and events there.
Following the footsteps of other newspapers, such as Riyadh, Dubai, and Europe, the giant Egyptian press institution wanted to build a bridge of communication between the peoples of the two courtiers.
On this occasion, the Egyptian Embassy in Beirut will organize a reception at the residence of Egypt's ambassador to Lebanon Mohamed Badr el Din on Tuesday morning.
Abdel Latif Nassar, the director of Al Ahram office in Lebanon, told MENA the Egyptian daily has always played a cultural role as part of Egypt's soft power in the Arab region.
Al Ahram Board chairman Ahmed el Sayyed el Naggar and a host of Lebanese politicians, journalists, intellectuals and media men will be present at the Egyptian Embassy reception.
