Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry

Shoukry said he held a round of talks with his Iraqi counterpart Ibrahim al Jaafari to probe means of boosting bilateral relations in all field.
Egypt is looking forward to cooperating with Iraq to solve all regional issues threatening Arab national security, he pointed out.
He also stressed Egypt's full support for Iraq to face common challenges.
Commenting on Kurdistan’s independence referendum, Shoukry said Egypt rejects interference in the domestic affairs of other countries.
Meanwhile, Jaafari said his country had not received an invitation to take part in the meetings of Arab countries fighting terrorism.
Iraq is keen on cooperating with Egypt to spread peace in the Arab region, he noted, adding that his country will continue to support Egypt in the fight against terrorism.
Jaafari appreciated stances taken by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in support of Iraq against terrorism, stating that his country seeks to develop ties with Egypt in the economic field. (MORE)
