Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr met on Thursday with Jordanian Minister of State for Investment Affair Muhannad Shehadeh.
They agreed to form an Egyptian-Jordanian investment council and exchange visits in the coming period to probe means of boosting mutual cooperation in the agricultural and industrial fields.
This came on the sidelines of the Egyptian-Jordanian higher committee, currently held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, in the presence of Egyptian Ambassador to Jordan Tareq Adel.
Shehadeh expressed his country's desire to increase investments in Egypt in the coming period and make use of Egyptian expertise in the field of investment promotion.
Nasr invited Jordanian companies to establish projects in Egypt and make use of the latter's membership in the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) to increase investments in the African continent.
The two ministers also agreed to establish three investment forums in Cairo and Amman in 2018 and 2019.
