Egypt, Libya, Iraq and Qatar have been chosen as original members of the Arab Labor Organization’s (ALO) board in addition to Palestine as an alternate member, Lebanese Labor Minister Sejaan Azzi announced.
The Lebanese official made the announcement on the third day of the 43rd ALO conference in Cairo under the sponsorship of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi with the presence of 21 Arab labor ministers.
A financial supervisory authority was also established from five original members: Lebanon, Iraq, Sudan, Oman and Palestine with Egypt being an alternate member, Azzi said.
A legal experts panel was formed from Saudi Arabia, Libya, Tunisia and Egypt, he added.
