The meetings of the Egyptian-Jordanian Higher Committee will kick off its 27th session here on Monday where its agenda will tackle many issues that target promoting joint cooperation in all fields.
Secretary-General of the Jordanian Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply Yousef al Shamali said that the committee will begin its activities with a meeting of the technical committee under him as a representative of the Jordanian side and Undersecretary of Egypt's Ministry of International Cooperation Fathy Abdel Azim.
In statements on Saturday, Shamali underlined that the meetings of the preparatory committee at the ministerial level will be held under the Jordanian Industry and Trade Minister Yarub Qudah and the Egyptian Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahr Nasr.
This will be followed by the meeting to be held between Jordanian Prime Minister Hani al Mulki and his Egyptian counterpart Sherif Ismail, he noted.
The committee will take up means of boosting joint economic, commercial and investment relations especially cooperation between the two nations in the fields of exhibitions, small and medium enterprises, developing exports, protecting the national production and implementing joint ventures.
The committee will also discuss bilateral cooperation in various fields especially registering the Jordanian medicine in Egypt and increasing the number of flights between the two countries in addition to agricultural cooperation and facilitating the entry of crops to both countries, Shamali reiterated.
