Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met with Commander of the Libyan army Marshal Khalifa Haftar on Wednesday in Paris.
The meeting comes within the framework of Egypt's diplomatic endeavors to achieve peace and stability in Libya, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said on his twitter account.
Shoukry and Haftar discussed the latest developments in Libya, including the agreement reached between head of the Libyan Presidential Council Fayez al Sarraj and Haftar in Paris Tuesday.
Sarraj and Haftar's meeting is the second in three months after they met in Abu Dhabi in May.
