Egypt’s Grand Mufti Shawky Allam hailed on Thursday Saudi King Salman Bin Abdel Aziz’s historic visit to Cairo.
In statements on the occasion, Allam said the visit will work on boosting bilateral relations in order to face threats and challenges endangering the Arab region.
He also added that the expected meeting between President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and King Salman is considered a "summit" in this historic phase.
He also lauded the deep-rooted relations between the two Arab countries.
Allam also hailed Saudi Arabia’s stances towards Egypt especially after June 30 revolution.
