Beirut - Egypt Today
Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri said that Iran is behind Hezbollah's interference in the internal affairs of the countries of the region.
In an interview aired by Al Arabiya Al Hadth TV channel on Monday, Hariri warned to resign if the Shiite militia refuses to stick by the state policy of staying out of regional conflicts.
Iran-backed Hezbollah must stop interfering overseas and accept a "neutral" policy to bring an end to Lebanon’s political crisis, he added.
Hariri shocked the Lebanese on Nov. 4 by resigning from his post in a statement from Saudi Arabia, citing Hezbollah's practices and Iranian interference in his country's affairs.
He later revoked his own resignation when he returned to Beirut weeks later.
