Head of the Civil Service Bureau (CSB) Ahmed bin Zayed Al Zayed today lauded His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s keynote address when he received the participants at the National Consensus Dialogue, in which he issued instructions to increase the salaries of civilian and military personnel and retirees, praising the swift response of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, to turn the royal directives into reality. « This reflects the wise leadership’s constant keenness to meet the citiznens’ expectations, as the best means to optimise national achievements and ensure the sustainability of the comprehensive progress march in the kingdom, » he said. CSB’s Head also indicated that the biggest public sector pay rise package in Bahrain's history ordered by HM King Hamad will cost the kingdom’s budget a total of BD 200 million annually and will benefit 35,000 empoyees registered with CSB, adding that the lowest-ranked civil servants will have their salaries increased by 36.5 per cent. « Between 2002 and 2011, the government has taken a number of procedures with the aim of upgrading the citizens’ standards of living, » he said, affirming that the minimum salary earned by a civil servant will be BD 402, while the lowest pension will be BD 275.
