A high-level security source has said Minister of Interior Magdy Abdel Ghaffar ordered referring the non-commissioner officer, who is involved in killing one person and wounding two others in a quarrel Tuesday in Rehab city in New Cairo, to the prosecution.

The source told MENA that Ministry of Interior is preparing a statement on the details of the incident to reveal the facts behind the crime to the people.

The non-commissioned officer, who works with Cairo police patrols, was arrested. The area residents destroyed the police car used by the officer at a time when security forces stepped up presence to contain the situation.
