International relief organizations call for opening Sanaa airport

International relief organizations called Wednesday the warring parties in Yemen to open Sanaa airport which is controlled by the Houthis.
In a statement signed by fifteen relief organizations, they said that closure of Sanaa airport, one-year ago, effectively trapped millions of Yemeni people and serves and prevented the free movement of commercial and humanitarian goods, Russia Today reported.
The World Health Organization (WHO) said in July that there were more than 400,000 suspected cholera cases in Yemen during the latest three months, killing 1,900 people.
