The US-led international coalition carried out 23 airstrikes against Daesh outposts in Syria and Iraq, according to a statement broadcast on US Radio Sawa.

The international coalition said its forces carried out 12 air raids on Daesh's outposts located near Al Bukamal, Al Shaddadi, Deir ezzor, and Raqqah in Syria.

The international coalition forces also launched 11 airstrikes in Iraq targeting Daesh's posts near Al Hawija, Al Qa'im, Kisik and Rawa.

Since the recapture of Mosul, Iraq’s second-largest city, from Daesh, the US-backed Syrian Democratic forces have been advancing in Syria's Raqqah.
