Laura Thompson, the Deputy Director General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), has praised Egypt's experiment in countering illegal migration and human trafficking.
Thompson, currently on a visit here, voiced appreciation for efforts exerted by the National Coordinating Committee on preventing and combating illegal migration.
In a meeting with head of the National Committee Naela Gabr Sunday, Thompson stressed support for those efforts and praised the role played by the committee in terms of stopping illegal migration.
Gabr spoke highly of cooperation between her Committee and the IOM, especially where organizing training courses is concerned.
