Jordan on Saturday announced it executed 15 convicts, including 10 terrorists.
Jordan's Minister of State for Media Affairs Mohammed Momani told Petra News Agency that the 10 terrorists were executed after they were convicted of crimes including what is known as "Irbid terror cell", and the terror attack against the General Intelligence Department office in Baqaa refugee camp.
Some of those executed today were convicted of other crimes including the attack on public security personnel near Irbid's Samma town, the assassination of columnist Nahed Hattar, terror bomb attack on Jordan's Embassy in Baghdad in 2003, and the terrorist attack against foreign tourists visiting the Roman amphitheater in Amman, Momani, who is also the government spokesperson added .
The minister also said that another five criminals, who committed major criminal offenses and incest, were also executed this morning .
The executions were carried out at Swaqa Correctional and Rehabilitation Center, some 70 kilometers south of Amman.
