Jordan Prepares to Install Surveillance Cameras at Al Aqsa Mosque

Jordan's Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has started to prepare and equip technical bases and electrical connections for the installation of 55 surveillance cameras in Al Aqsa Mosque courtyards to expose the violations perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces and settlers against holy sites in Jerusalem.
Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Hayel Dawud said in a statement earlier that the Jerusalem Awqaf Department, affiliated with the Awqaf Ministry, will be in charge of the cameras, which will cover an area of 144 dunums through a control room.
"The objective behind installing these cameras is to document Israeli violations against Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem, and enable the world to follow what is happening in the courtyards of Al Aqsa Mosque around the clock," the Minister added.
The minister highlighted the legal, moral and religious importance of this step, aimed at safeguarding holy sites against Israeli transgressions.
