Jordan receives 152 Syrian refugees over past 24 hours

Jordan's border guards received during the last 24 hours 152 Syrian refugees of different ages, the Morale Guidance Directorate affiliated with the Jordanian Armed Forces said on Wednesday.

The border guards provided the refugees with temporary shelters set up for them and with the necessary humanitarian aid, said a statement by the directorate.

Jordan is one of the highest neighboring countries to receive Syrian refugees since the outbreak of the crisis in the Arab country.

Jordan is giving shelter to more than 600,000 Syrians who have fled five years of conflict in their country, and the number grows every day.
