Cairo - Egypt Today
Kuwait's Foreign Ministry decided Thursday to reduce the number of the Iranian embassy diplomats, shut down the embassy's technical offices and freeze any activities of joint committees between both countries.
The decision is related to the 2016 verdict of Kuwait's Court of Cassation as regards the Abdali terrorist cell in which 25 of Kuwait's Shiite nationals and an Iranian were charged with spying for Tehran and the Lebanese Hezbollah movement.
The court ruled that some Iranian parties have aided and backed members of the cell, a source at the ministry said.
