The 3rd Arab Entrepreneurs Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Forum" has kicked off at Sultan Qaboos Cultural and Entertainment Complex in Salalah under the patronage of Sayyid Sulaiman bin Hamoud Al- Busaidi, Deputy Secretary General of the Ministers Council.

Shaikha Jawaher bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Honorary President of the Third Arab Entrepreneurs Conference, said that the Arab Forum for the third year consecutively has its own imprint and has become one of the important fora in the Arab world, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.

Al Busaidi honoured the sponsors, supporting, and participating entities. The seminars focused on two themes "The Digital Economy: Visions and Horizons"," and "Mental Readiness of Entrepreneurship."

The event includes the implementation of courses for participants and the public on strategic planning and decision-making. On the sidelines of the forum, an exhibition was opened on the innovations of young people with the participation of 20 companies in which they showcase models of young companies specialised in e-Commerce, e-Promotion and marketing, with experiences of voluntary organisations operating on the digital and electronic technical aspects.

The forum is organised by Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) in the Governorate of Dhofar. Investors from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, Libya, Iraq, Sudan, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Tunisia, Morocco and Malaysia are participating in the forum.

The forum aims to increase awareness of the digital economy, the importance of electronic commerce, activation of the role of the business sectors in Oman and to prepare them to market their products and services through the Internet at home and abroad and review the safe legal and regulatory framework.
