Palestinians stood up to the settlers who were attempting to raid the village.

Extremist Jewish settlers attempted on Friday to raid the village of Khan al-Ahmar, east of Jerusalem -- which is facing an imminent threat of demolition by Israeli authorities, before they were confronted by Palestinian protesters, local sources told WAFA.

Palestinians who were on a vigil in the village stood up to the settlers who were attempting to raid the village.

Meanwhile, hundreds of Palestinians held the Friday prayer at Khan al-Ahmar in a show of solidarity with its residents who are fighting Israeli attempts to displace them and demolish their village.

Palestinians have been holding regular support rallies at the village since Israel announced in June its intention to demolish it in order to build a Jewish settlement on its ruins.
