A well-placed source at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces, also referred to as the Arab Army, announced that a booby-trapped car went off at 5:30 am (local time) on Tuesday in an area near the Syrian-Jordanian border, killing and injuring several Jordanian border guards.
In a statement, the source said that several vehicles of the attackers were also destroyed near a wall close to a Syrian refugee camp.
The source added it will issue another statement later to provide more details about the attack.
