Sudanese Foreign Minister Ibrahim Ghandour

Sudanese Foreign Minister Ibrahim Ghandour stressed on Wednesday that his country is keen on preserving relations with Egypt given the deeply-rooted relations binding the two countries.
Ghandour, in his address at the parliament, said relations with Egypt does not need any interference from any country.
As for the controversial issue of Halayeb, he said it is left to the leaders of Egypt and Sudan to decide on it.
He urged the Sudanese not to cross borders with Egypt to preserve their lives.
He added that Sudan will seek to mend fences in the current crisis between Qatar and some Arab countries.
Ghandour address also covered Sudan's relations with Arab countries, efforts to fight terrorism and illegal immigration and gradual pullout of UNAMID forces operating in Darfur.
