Suez Governor Ahmed Hamed cancelled Mother's Day celebrations - that were due to be held at the Cultural Palace on Thursday - over the crisis of school meals poisoning.

Also, Friday's marathon was cancelled, the media spokesman of the Suez education directorate said.

Ayman Samir noted that the governor and the directorate's undersecretary inspected on Wednesday students who were hospitalized over school meals poisoning. 

All students checked out of hospital, except one case due to leave hospital later Thursday.
