The Anbar Provincial Council announced Wednesday that the three-day truce in Fallujah has been extended for more than one week to help restoring life to normal in the Iraqi province that is located roughly 69 kilometers west of Baghdad.The extension comes after the Iraqi Defense Ministry announced on Saturday that military operations taken against selected terrorist organization targets in Fallujah have been stopped for a period of 72 hours.Earlier, Anbar governor called for one-week extension of the truce to stop bloodshed in the province.
