UNCHR launches fundraising campaign for its activities in Libya

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) launched a 75 million dollar fundraising campaign in support of its activities in Libya during 2017.
In a report published on Saturday, the UNHCR said there are about 226,000 internally displaced people in Libya who are suffering hard humanitarian conditions.
About 42,000 people are asylum seekers, the report said, noting that about 100,000 refugees managed to reach Italy via the sea this year.
Libya has been engulfed in war since the 2011 revolution which toppled late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.
