President Abdel Fatah El Sisi greeted the martyrs who sacrificed their souls for the sake of the homeland.
In a speech on the occasion of the inauguration of 19 mega projects including bridges, roads and tunnels at the cost of 3.5 billion pounds carried by the armed forces, the president said Egypt will not forget the martyrs' sacrifices.
Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said the president made the statements via videoconference after listening to detailed explanation about the projects from high-ranking military engineers, pointing out that the Armed Forces is carrying out many development projects in the country.
On the economic conference which will be held in Sharm el Sheikh on Friday, the president said the conference was well-prepared and called for serious work to render the development process a success, pointing out that the attempts to undermine the conference will fail.
The president said the divine religions abhor all acts of killing, destruction and sabotage, describing the terrorists as the enemies of religions and humanity.
He thanked the United Arab Emirates over its participation in development projects in Egypt.
