Egypt respects all conventions it signed with other countries and works on harmonizing its legislation with such conventions, Minister of Manpower Nahed Ashry said on Tuesday.

Egypt's interests are above anything else, Ashry said.

Ashry made the statements during a meeting with the Egyptian delegation to the 104th session of the International Labor Conference, due on June 1-13 in Geneva.
