The Egyptian state is supporting knowledge economy and working on lifting any obstacles ahead, renowned Egyptian scientist and Nobel laureate Ahmed Zewail said.
Addressing the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) in Sharm El Sheikh, Zewail said he personally witnessed the president’s and government’s keenness to support scientific research as he is a member of the scientific advisory team of the president.
He underlined the importance of knowledge economy and the level of basic education he had received in the past in Egypt, which qualified him to travel to the US and work in prominent universities there.
