The head of Nile Center For Economic Studies “Abdel Khalek Farouk” in an interview with “Arab Today” warned against the critical economic situation Egypt witnessing, adding that the economic structure is full of imbalances between commodity production sector and services , distribution and trade sectors.
Farouk said that the production wheel is taking a slow pace in numerous sectors, in conjunction with increasing justified demands of economic and social rights by millions, asserting that investments should increase for a boost in the national wealth.
Farouk called for a ministerial homogeneity, especially in the economic bloc, pointing out the officials working to solve the economy burdens should belong to the same economic school, also authority must acquire a vision for the economic structure, and plans to illustrate development.
The production scheme could take three years, then another plan to modify the economic structure and place it at its normal criteria, Farouk continued.
Farouk said that the state must have a role in the investment sector, and in the field of activating public sector companies, to realize a balance with the private one, as it is proven that public sector companies can achieve success.
