Algerian minister Abdemadjid Tebboune

Commitments made in 2012 by the government resolve the housing crisis were broadly fulfilled, minister of Housing, National Planning and the city Abdemadjid Tebboune said Wednesday.
In an interview with APS, the Minister stressed the housing sector is experiencing a net increase in activity on the eve of the end of the current 2010-2014 five-year plan.
 "The commitments made in 2012 for the launch of nearly 2.226.000 houses (all categories) have been met," the minister added.
"This acceleration in the pace of implementation reflects a frank political will to fulfil the commitments," he affirmed.
On this occasion, Tebboune stressed that all projects under the 2010-2014 five-year plan will actually be launched in the next two months at the later.
Regarding projects implementation, he said the implementation rate will be reaching 85% by the end of the year.
He also recalled the programs planned out of the five-year, announced by Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal. These programs provide for the launch in 2013 of 230,000 new rental housings units and 150,000 public promotional housing units, Tebboune added.
Besides these projects, new projects decided on the occasion of the visits made by the Premier nationwide, provide for the construction of nearly 350,000 units.
