Russia seeks to restore strategic cooperation with Egypt, said Russian Trade and Industry Minister Denis Manturov.
In a speech delivered Monday evening in the opening of the Industrial Commercial Dialogue between Egypt and Russia, Manturov said that he held several meetings with a host of Egyptian ministers on the sidelines of the business forum.
Russia is keen on implementing projects to serve the Egyptian and Russian nations, he added.
He, meanwhile, pointed out to the great cooperation which was held between Egypt and Russia since the era of the Soviet Union.
He further said that Moscow contributed to the establishment of the High Dam in Aswan, Helwan Iron and Steel Company and the Nag Hammadi aluminum complex.
There are new prospects of cooperation between Egypt and Russia in light of what was agreed upon in August 2014 and February 2015 during the talks held between Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Russian President Vladimir Putin, he added.
