Visiting Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi highlighted the special relations binding China and Egypt in view of the two countries' keenness to promote them to levels that employ their full potentials.
Addressing a symposium on "Promoting Joint Egyptian-Chinese Businesses, Sisi pointed out that Egypt is one of China's key trade partners that offers to Chinese companies a vast entrance to the Arab, African and European markets.
He said this meeting provides a direct and good chance to assess the progress achieved as regards under-construction projects in Egypt and means of removing any impediments on their way.
Sisi said he has no doubt that the agreements and contracts signed during his visit represent a value added to the achievements realized so far in several fields.
Over the past period, several projects have been achieved in the fields of information technology, automobile industry, petrochemicals as well as infrastructure projects, Sisi said, adding that Egypt seeks to upgrade the infrastructure of the Egyptian economy and build on the progress achieved.
Egypt has taken swift measures towards propelling its economy based on well-studied and scientific bases and a clear-cut vision, he explained.
Egypt's economic roadmap plan included the implementation of structural reforms that comply financial policies, rationalization of subsidies along with national plans for urban development and the launching of mega projects to such as the New Suez Canal to invigorate the Egyptian economy.
