Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukiya Amano on Friday said that he held talks here with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on several issues of common concern with emphasis on cooperation between Egypt and the IAEA.
In statements after meeting with the president, he added that he briefed president Sisi on the latest developments of the Iranian nuclear file.
Amano further noted that the IAEA could undertake a major role in achieving the goals of sustainable development through encouraging and spreading the peaceful use of nuclear energy for power generation and other peaceful activities.
