Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has said President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's participation in the World Economic Forum (WEF) will have a positive impact on Egypt's economic conference to be held in March.
He added on Thursday that the forum was an opportunity to share Egypt's economic vision at the global event which is attended by heads of state and prominent international business figures.
"We have already invited the world leaders to attend March's conference," he said, noting that many countries expressed willingness to take part in the key event.
Egypt is hosting an economic summit in March in the Red Sea resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh, with the aim of attracting more foreign investments.
Commenting on Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu's remarks on Egypt, Shoukry said such remarks showed that the Turkish administration is "confused", noting that Egypt disregard these comments, and will rather focus on its own progress.
However, he expressed Egypt's appreciation for the Turkish people, asserting that the Egyptian people are able to outline their own future, and "do not seek instructions from anyone."
In his speech at the WEF on Thursday, Sisi invited world leaders and investors to the economic summit in March, as part of efforts to boost Egypt's economy after the fallout of years of political turmoil.
