Ramallah - Arab Today
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday stressed that the absence of punishment emboldens Israelis to continue carrying out crimes against Palestinians.
It added that the various Israeli authorities join forces to conceal evidence of crimes committed against Palestinian people.
The ministry was citing confessions by the Israeli army that it carried out field executions of Palestinians, calling for swift action by the International Criminal Court against such crimes.
Four field executions have been carried out recently, a report by the Israeli army indicated.
It was possible to avert shooting Palestinians in four separate incidents in the occupied West Bank, if the army behaved more properly, the report indicated.
Slamming the damning Israeli report, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry said it lacks new instructions obliging Israeli soldiers not to open fire in similar cases.
