More than 50 extremist settlers on Sunday stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram al-Sharif compound, in the occupied holy city of Jerusalem, entering through the Bab Al-Magharebah gate, according to a Palestinian source.

The Islamic Awqaf Department in Jerusalem said in a statement that Israeli special forces attacked the mosque's guards near the Hatta Gate.
