A group of extremist Jewish settlers early Thursday broke into the Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram al-Sharif compound, in the occupied holy city of Jerusalem, entering through the Bab Al-Magharebah gate.

A statement by the Al- Aqsa Foundation for Endowment and Heritage said that Jewish settlers stormed the mosque under the protection of the Israeli police and performed their Talmudic rites.
