Israeli forces detained a total of 17 Palestinians, including a former detainee, during overnight raids across the West Bank, said Palestine Prisoner’s Society on Thursday.
Israeli forces detained three Palestinians after storming their homes during raids into Hebron and Yatta.
They also raided Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, detaining a former mayor and one of his sons after storming and ransacking their home.
In the northern West Bank, troops detained three Palestinians during raids across Tulkarem city and Dhanaba.
Elsewhere in the northern West Bank, troops conducted multiple raids across Jenin, detaining three Palestinians.
Troops also detained three Palestinians after ransacking their homes during multiple raids across the northern West Bank district of Nablus.
They also re-detained a Palestinian during an overnight raid into Qalqiliya district. The detainee reportedly had spent four years in Israeli imprisonment.
In the central West Bank, troops detained a Palestinian during a raid into Ramallah and al-Bireh district.
Another Palestinian was reportedly detained during a predawn raid that sparked clashes in Abu Dis town, south of Jerusalem.
