Israeli occupation forces detained four Palestinian fishermen off Gaza's shores, head of the Palestinian fishermen society Nizar Ayash said on Tuesday. 

The Israeli gunboats seized two fishing boats carrying the four Palestinian fishermen, he added.

Israeli forces have repeatedly opened fire at fishermen along the Gaza Strip coast.

Israeli authorities have gradually reduced the 20 nautical miles set for Palestinian fishermen in the Mediterranean to only six miles in violation of the 1993 Oslo agreement.
