Israeli forces overnight detained six Palestinians from a number of West Bank districts, said security and Palestine Prisoner’s Society sources.
Israeli police detained an 18-year-old Palestinian for allegedly being involved in a stabbing attack against an Israeli, in his 60s, in Jerusalem earlier Monday evening.
The Israeli sustained light injuries after being stabbed in his back on al-Wad Street in the Old City.
This came as police shut down all entrances to the Old City with metal barricades and prevented Palestinians from entering and exiting the city for several hours in their search for the suspected attacker.
Police heavily deployed across several neighborhoods and markets, where they stormed and ransacked many stores and structures, especially in al-Lahhamin and Khan El-Zeit markets, detaining two more Palestinians.
Meanwhile, forces detained a Palestinian after storming and ransacking his family house in the southern West Bank city of Hebron.
The detainee was identified as Muhsen al-Ju'beh, 22.
In the meantime, forces detained a Palestinian during a predawn raid into Seida town, north of Tulkarem city in the northern West Bank.
The detainee was identified as Muntaser Ajaj.
This came as forces stationed on Allenby border crossing, also known as al-Karameh, detained a Palestinian who was en route back from Jordan.
He was identified as Nedal Dharifa, 40.
