Israeli soldier slightly stabbed at West Bank checkpoint

An Israeli female soldier was very slightly wounded on Monday morning when a Palestinian woman stabbed her at a West Bank checkpoint located between Jerusalem and Ramallah, Ha'aretz newspaper reported Monday.

The 25-year-old victim sustained injuries to the upper part of her body and was evacuated to Hadassah Medical Center, Jersualem after being treated at the scene, Magen David Adom paramedics said.

The army said that the soldier was injured while subduing the attacker at the Qalandiyah checkpoint.

The police said that the Palestinian, a resident of the West Bank, approached the soldier saying she wanted to ask a question when she pulled out a knife from her bag.
