Ramallah - Arab Today
Palestinian prisoners have entered their 20th day of hunger strike, in protest against Israeli practices and in a bid to put an end to arbitrary arrests.
As many as 50 prisoners, mostly Palestinian activists, joined the hunger strike battle which started on April 17 by about 1,700 political prisoners in the occupation cells.
Hundreds of prisoners recently decided to join the mass hunger strike for the sake of solidarity with fellow prisoners, the authority of Islamic Jihad Movement prisoners said on Saturday.
The authority warned that the hunger strike has entered a critical stage as Israeli occupation slackens to respond to the demands of the prisoners.
