El-Badry says he is happy at Al-Ahly Cairo - Arabstoday Egyptian side Al-Ahly's coach Hossam el-Badry has moved to deny rumours that he is on the verge of leaving the Cairo-based club. Egyptian media reported that el-Badry had met senior Ahly officials on Sunday to discuss his future. However, the former Al-Merreikh coach issued a statement through the club's official website in which he described the rumours as "completely false," and confirmed that he would be taking a two-week break for "personal reasons." "All reports which suggested that I would leave the club are completely false. There is no problem with the club's board and I am really happy at the club. "I will take two weeks of holiday for personal reasons," el-Badry explained. El-Badry is expected to take his break after Ahly's African encounter against Kenyan side Tusker, set to be played in Alexandria next Sunday. Ahly's football director Hady Khashaba has confirmed that assistant coach Mohamed Youssef will take charge on the team while el-Badry is away.
