Zabolotny saves Zenit St. Petersburg from first defeat in UEFA Europa League

Zenit will play against Kobenhavn and Bordeaux.

Russia’s Zenit St. Petersburg tied 1:1 with France’s Bordeaux on Thursday night during the UEFA Europa League group stage game on Thursday night.

The goals were scored by Zenit’s Anton Zabolotny (72) and Francois Kamano (35, on penalty).

Zenit has already played for games as part of the UEFA Europa League group stage - two victories and two draws. It currently holds the top spot in Group C with eight points, followed by Slavia Praha (7 points), Kobenhavn (5 points) and Bordeaux (1 point).

Another Group C game on Thursday, between Slavia Praha and Kobenhavn, ended in a goalless draw.

During the next matchday, due on November 29, Zenit will play against Kobenhavn and Bordeaux will face Slavia Praha.
