A gunman has shot dead one person and injured three others outside a courthouse in northeastern Texas, the police say. The shooting took place in the city of Beaumont, Texas on Wednesday, Reuters reported. The attacker also hit one of the injured with his vehicle. The 40-year-old assailant then fled to a building not far from the courthouse, but was arrested there by a police SWAT team, according to Beaumont police spokeswoman, Officer Carol Riley. She said when the police nabbed him he was injured and noted that his injury could have been the result of exchange of fire with the police. The gunman was at the courthouse to attend a case hearing there, the official said. He was reportedly related to two of the people he injured. Riley said two other victims were passersby.
