A 47-year-old man died and four other people were injured on Tuesday in a collision between two vehicles on the Mafraq-Safawi highway, 35 kilometres east of the city of Mafraq, according to the Jordanian Civil Defence Department. Mafraq civil defence chief Col. Ibrahim Hatamleh said rescue crews handled the accident and evacuated the dead man and the injured to the Mafraq Government Hospital. Col. Ibrahim Hatamleh described the injuries between fair and serious.
