A fire in a German hospital early Friday killed one patient and left another patient and a nurse wounded by toxic fumes, police in the southwestern town of Ettenheim said. The female victim, 57, died when her bed caught fire at 12 am (GMT). All 67 patients at the three-storey hospital were evacuated while firefighters put out the blaze. The fire broke out in a ground-floor room. Police said the cause was not yet known, according to DPA.
