At least three Yemeni soldiers were killed and nine more injured in a a blast that targeted a military barrack Tuesday.

A suicide bomber, believed to belong to Al Qaeda organization, drove into a military barrack in Jaheen district of Abyan and blew himself up, Sky News quoted Yemeni military sources as having said.

The barrack was then hit by mortar shells, the sources added.
