A group of seven armed men on Thursday kidnapped two French nationals in Hombori in the northeast Mali, local media reported. According to AFP, the French hostages, working on a construction site in the region, were abducted from the hotel where they have stayed. The kidnapping in Mali brought the number of French hostages in the Sahel region to six. On Tuesday, a French woman of Moroccan origin in Lahj region south of Yemen was kidnapped with her Yemeni driver and translator. All of them were freed on Thursday.
