The interior ministry said that three criminal elements, including those who shot two policemen dead in Quwesna, have been killed after exchanging fire with police forces in Daqahleya.
In a statement on Thursday, the interior ministry noted that Public security sector and security bodies in Menoufeya and Daqahleya directorates coordinated efforts targeting the arrest of the criminals who killed two non commissioned officers on Tuesday after a shootout in Qwesna .
Security forces were tracking down the criminal elements in their hotbed when the criminals opened fire against them. The security men fired back and shot them dead along with another one accompanying them.
Weapons and marijuana in addition to stolen materials were seized during the battle.
