Venezuela\'s Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) said on Monday that 460 kg of cocaine was confiscated in a cargo ship in the southern Bolivar state. The drugs were discovered in a ship from Spain, which was to pick up an iron load and then to leave for France, said Miguel Vivas, chief of the anti-drug command of the GNB. Some 22 foreigners, who were part of the crew members, were arrested, he added. So far this year, the Venezuelan authorities have seized 35.2 tons of drugs, Deputy Director of the National Anti-drug Office Edilberto Molina told the Venezuelan television. In June, Venezuela confiscated 7 tons of cocaine in Palua wharf, also in Bolivar, the country\'s largest state that borders Brazil.
